Our MissioN
The Hudson Creative Hub launches Hudson Animation and Short Film Festival –hasff– whose mission is to support young film makers and animators; with the objective to help young talent secure networking opportunities and resources to foster the new generation of creative artists.
The festival will offer an opportunity for Canadian filmmakers to find their voice and bring their stories, to a Canadian audience.
History
The Hudson Animation & Short Film Festival continues the legacy of “Ben’s Screening Room”.
The event is named after the late Ben McKinnon who was a local, talented, young filmmaker who, tragically, passed before his time.
Hudson Animation & Short Film Festival will honor Ben, with The Ben McKinnon Excellence Award for the best film of the festival.
Five Knights
Founded by brothers Seb and Ben McKinnon, Five Knights is a film & video production company based in Montreal. Under this banner, a select group of highly skilled and creative individuals gather for one main purpose: to turn artistic vision into reality.
We strive to create and deliver the emotionally impactful; the kind of art that takes hold and moves its viewers, before it lingers, somewhere deep in their imagination.
A feature film based on their award-winning trilogy KIN Fables is currently in development
